Flick is an old man from the village where the Black Company finds the young deaf-mute Darling. He is the only survivor besides the girl. Both of them tag along with the Company; Flick becomes fairly close friends with Pickles the quartermaster. He is killed in Oar, at the ambush Cornie sets up at the stables.
